LS45M42B11 Limit Switch

The LS45M42B11 is a heavy-duty metal limit switch from ABB's LS45/LS46 standard series, featuring a 40 mm wide zinc alloy (Zamak) body and a stainless steel roller lever actuator. This model is configured with one normally-open and one normally-closed snap-action contact (1NO + 1NC, Zb contact arrangement), making it suitable for safety-related position sensing (positive opening of NC contact). The roller lever arm (22 mm diameter roller) can be adjusted and is spring-returned, allowing actuation from either direction with a maximum operating speed of 1.5 m/s. The switch requires a minimum actuation torque of about 0.15 N·m and ensures a positive opening force of ≥0.44 N·m on the NC contact for reliable disconnection in safety applications. The LS45M42B11 comes with a standard 1/2″ NPT cable entry for wiring (or M20 in metric versions) and has four mounting holes for secure attachment on machine structures. It is rated for conventional thermal current around 10 A and can handle AC15 duty (e.g. 6 A at 230 VAC) for control circuits. The switch housing offers IP65 protection against dust and water jets. As part of ABB's robust limit switch line, it is interchangeable with many European standard limit switches and supports a wide range of actuators (plungers, roller plunger, adjustable levers, etc.).
